Emily Condie is an Artist, Writer, Curator, and Multidisciplinary Creative from Toronto, Ontario who holds a BFA from OCAD University, with a specialization in Drawing and Painting.
Through a combination of research, material exploration, and creative writing in her studio practice; Emily explores the theoretical frameworks of affect theory, non objective painting, and sensory experiences related to memory to create physical and digital paintings often inspired by her personal experiences. Emily's studio works often explore themes of loss and grief, memory as a site and place, visual representation of feelings, and post traumatic growth.
Emily is also as a Communications Coordinator and Emerging Arts Administrator, who is passionate about creating paid professional opportunities for emerging artists and designers, cultivating community art spaces, and facilitating unspoken connections between artist and audience.
Emily currently has work in private and corporate collections across Ontario, and is continuing to define a role for herself within the creative landscape of Toronto.
